Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Slice the baguette lengthwise, almost all the way through, but leave the bottom crust intact to create a hinge. Then, make diagonal cuts about 1-inch apart across the baguette, again not cutting all the way through the bottom.

In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped fresh parsley, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Generously spread the garlic butter mixture into all the cuts and over the top surface of the baguette. Make sure to get some butter deep into the crevices.

Wrap the buttered baguette loosely in aluminum foil and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes to allow the butter to melt and infuse the bread.

Remove the foil from the baguette. Carefully open up the cuts slightly and stuff the shredded mozzarella cheese into each cut. Sprinkle any remaining cheese over the top of the bread.

Return the garlic bread to the oven, uncovered, and bake for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown, and the edges of the bread are crispy.

Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute or two, then slice along the pre-cut lines and serve immediately.
