Add 4 tablespoons of olive oil to a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the thinly sliced garlic and chili flakes to the pot. Sauté for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the garlic is fragrant and lightly golden.

Add the dried orzo pasta to the pot and stir it well to coat with the oil and toast slightly, for about 1 minute.

Pour in the dry white wine to deglaze the pot, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Stir well.

Add the chicken bone broth to the pot. Season with kosher salt and black pepper to taste.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover the pot and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the orzo is al dente and most of the liquid has been absorbed. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

Add the shrimp (cooked and peeled or raw and peeled) to the pot. Stir the shrimp into the orzo mixture. If using raw shrimp, continue to cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.

Stir in the finely chopped fresh parsley, the juice of the lemon, and the pads of butter.

Stir until the butter has melted and all ingredients are well combined and heated through.

Serve immediately and enjoy your One Pot Shrimp Scampi Orzo!
