In a shallow dish or baking tray, whisk together the large eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until fully combined.

Lay two slices of white bread flat on a cutting board. Using the bottom of a sturdy glass, press down firmly on the center of one slice of bread to create a circular indentation or "well" without tearing through the bread.

Spoon 1 to 2 tablespoons of Nutella into the well created in the bread. Place the second slice of white bread on top of the Nutella-filled slice, forming a sandwich.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 with the remaining bread and Nutella to create a total of four Nutella sandwiches.

Melt 1/2 tablespoon of unsalted butter in a large non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat.

Carefully dip one Nutella-filled bread sandwich into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are thoroughly coated. Allow any excess egg mixture to drip off.

Place the egg-soaked bread sandwich into the pan with the melted butter. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Transfer the cooked French toast to a plate. Repeat steps 5, 6, and 7 for the remaining Nutella sandwiches, adding more butter to the pan as needed for each batch.

Once all French toast pieces are cooked, sprinkle liberally with powdered sugar for garnish. For a beautiful presentation, cut each piece of French toast in half diagonally to reveal the warm Nutella filling.
