In a dry pan, dry roast the whole milk powder over low flame. Stir continuously to prevent burning, as it can change color suddenly. Continue roasting until the milk powder turns a golden brown color.

Remove the pan from the heat and allow the roasted milk powder to cool completely to room temperature.

Once the milk powder has cooled, transfer it to a mixing bowl. Add the crushed plain biscuits, condensed milk (start with 1/3 cup and add more if needed), and cream to the bowl.

Mix all the ingredients thoroughly with your hands or a spoon until a medium-soft, cohesive dough forms. If the dough is too dry, add a little more condensed milk, 1 teaspoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.

Divide the dough into three equal pieces. Roll each piece into a log shape, approximately 1 inch in diameter and 4-5 inches long.

Place the dough logs on a plate or baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate the logs for 15 minutes to firm them up.

While the logs are chilling, melt the dark chocolate. You can do this in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, or over a double boiler until smooth.

Remove the chilled logs from the refrigerator. Using a pastry brush or the back of a spoon, brush the melted chocolate onto the logs. Create ridges and texture as you go to mimic the appearance of firewood bark.

Return the chocolate-coated logs to the refrigerator and chill until the chocolate is completely set, about 30 minutes.

Once the chocolate is firm, remove the logs from the refrigerator. Using a sharp knife, cut the logs into small, bite-sized pieces, about 1 inch thick.

Serve the Firewood Candy cold with coffee or tea.
