Chop the bacon into small pieces.

In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until it is crispy. This should take about 8-10 minutes.

Using a slotted spoon, remove the crispy bacon from the pot and set it aside, leaving the rendered bacon grease in the pot.

Add the chopped onion to the pot with the bacon grease. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until it begins to soften.

Add the minced garlic to the pot with the onion and cook for another 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the ground beef to the pot. Break it up with a spoon and cook until it is fully browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease if necessary.

Season the browned ground beef with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix thoroughly to combine the seasonings with the beef.

Add the chopped cabbage to the pot. Stir to mix the cabbage with the beef mixture.

Pour in the chicken broth and add the can of diced tomatoes (undrained). Stir all ingredients together.

Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it cook for 20 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and cooked down.

Once the cabbage is cooked, stir in the reserved crispy bacon.

Serve your one-pot "Dirty Cabbage" hot and enjoy!
