Boil the 200g noodles in a pot of water according to package directions until al dente.

Once cooked, drain the noodles thoroughly and transfer them to a large mixing bowl.

To the noodles, add 2 teaspoons of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of chili flakes, 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds, and 1 tablespoon of chopped green onion.

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a small pot or pan over medium-high heat until it is shimmering and hot (just before smoking).

Carefully pour the hot oil over the ingredients in the noodle bowl. You should hear a sizzling sound as the oil hits the aromatics.

Add 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, and 2 tablespoons of water to the bowl.

Using chopsticks or tongs, mix all the ingredients thoroughly until the noodles are evenly coated with the sauce.

Serve the garlic noodles immediately.
