Preheat your oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 4-cup muffin tin or line with paper liners.

Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin until very thin. Press each flattened bread slice into a muffin cup, forming a cup shape. Trim any excess bread if necessary.

In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, and milk until well combined and the sugar is dissolved.

Carefully pour the egg mixture into each bread cup, filling them about three-quarters full.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the egg custard is set and the bread edges are golden brown. A knife inserted into the center of the custard should come out clean.

Remove from the oven and let cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before carefully transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve warm or at room temperature.
