Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F) or a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, ensure they have been soaked in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, honey, Sriracha sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined. This is your spicy glaze.

Place the sliced plantains in a medium bowl and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of the spicy glaze. Toss gently to coat. In a separate small bowl, gently toss the avocado chunks with the lime juice to prevent browning.

Carefully thread the plantain slices and avocado chunks alternately onto the prepared skewers. Aim for 3-4 pieces of each per skewer, depending on their size.

Brush the assembled skewers with the remaining spicy glaze. Ensure all sides are coated.

Place the skewers on the preheated grill or in the hot skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the plantains are tender and slightly caramelized with nice grill marks, and the avocado is warmed through. Be careful when flipping the skewers to keep the avocado intact.

Remove the skewers from the heat and arrange them on a serving platter. Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro.

Serve immediately as a vibrant and flavorful appetizer or side dish.
