Preheat your oven or toaster oven to 350°F. Take the loaf of Italian bread and slice it horizontally, being careful not to cut all the way through, creating a top and bottom half that are still connected on one side.

Place the bottom half of the bread on a clean surface or baking sheet. Layer slices of provolone cheese evenly over the bread. Follow with layers of sliced ham, then sliced salami, and finally sliced pepperoni. Add another layer of sliced provolone cheese on top of the meats.

Transfer the bottom half of the sandwich with the layered cheese and meats into the preheated oven or toaster oven. Toast until the cheese is visibly melted and bubbly, about 5 minutes. Keep a close eye on it to prevent burning.

While the meat and cheese are toasting, prepare the toppings. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded lettuce, sliced red onion, sliced tomatoes, and sliced banana peppers.

Season the vegetable mixture with salt, black pepper, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes. Drizzle with olive oil and red wine vinegar. Toss all the ingredients together thoroughly until well combined.

Remove the toasted bottom half of the sandwich from the oven. Spread mayonnaise generously onto the inside of the top half of the Italian bread. Spread deli dressing (Italian dressing) over the mayonnaise on the top half.

Pile the seasoned vegetable mixture high onto the melted cheese and meats on the bottom half of the sandwich. Place the dressed top half of the bread over the piled-high vegetables. Gently but firmly press down on the assembled sandwich.

Slice the sandwich into desired portions and serve immediately.
