In a large mixing bowl, add the lean ground beef.

Add the honey, liquid smoke, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to the ground beef.

Mix all ingredients thoroughly until well combined and the mixture is sticky and uniform. This can be done by hand for best results.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Press the seasoned ground beef mixture evenly onto the parchment-lined baking sheet, forming a thin, even layer.

Using a pizza cutter or a sharp knife, score the beef mixture into long, thin strips, resembling beef sticks. Score them lengthwise and then crosswise to create individual stick shapes.

Preheat your Traeger grill (or oven) to 180°F.

Once preheated, carefully place the baking sheet with the scored beef sticks onto the grill grates. Grill for 3 hours, or until the beef sticks are firm and have a jerky-like texture.

Remove the cooked beef sticks from the grill and transfer them to a cooling rack to cool completely. This allows them to firm up further.

Once completely cooled, store the Honey BBQ Beef Sticks in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
