Heat 15 ml of oil in a large pan or skillet over medium heat.

Add the medium onion, finely chopped, to the pan and cook until it becomes translucent, about 3-5 minutes.

Add the 10 grams of minced garlic to the pan and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the 500 grams of beef mince to the pan. Break it up with a spoon and cook until it is thoroughly browned, about 7-10 minutes.

Season the browned beef mince with 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon of chilli flakes. Mix thoroughly to combine the seasonings with the beef.

Stir in the 150 grams of tomato paste and mix well with the beef mixture.

Pour in 250 ml of milk and 100 ml of water. Mix everything together and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add the 200 grams of pre-boiled macaroni to the pan with the beef mixture.

Add 1/2 cup of pasta water (reserved from boiling the macaroni) and 100 grams of cheese (shredded or cubed) to the pan.

Stir gently to combine, then cover the pan and cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and the flavors to meld.

Serve the high protein beef macaroni hot and enjoy!
