Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

In a large bowl, toss the trimmed asparagus spears with olive oil and freshly ground black pepper. Ensure they are lightly coated.

Take 3-4 asparagus spears and tightly wrap them with 1-2 slices of prosciutto, starting from just below the tips and wrapping downwards, leaving the tips exposed. Place the wrapped bundles seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining asparagus and prosciutto.

Evenly sprinkle the freshly grated Parmesan cheese over the prosciutto-wrapped asparagus bundles.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender-crisp and the prosciutto is slightly crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent over-browning.

Carefully transfer the bundles to a serving platter. If desired, garnish with additional shaved Parmesan cheese before serving. Serve warm.
