If using wooden skewers, place them in a shallow dish or glass and cover with water. Let them soak for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning on the grill. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375-400°F).

Prepare the fruit: Carefully core the pineapple and cut it into uniform 1-inch chunks. Pit the ripe peaches and cut them into 1-inch wedges.

Assemble the skewers: Thread the pineapple chunks and peach wedges alternately onto the soaked skewers, leaving a small space between each piece to ensure even cooking.

Prepare the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted unsalted butter, packed light brown sugar, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and the optional fresh lime juice until well combined.

Grill the skewers: Place the assembled skewers directly on the preheated grill grates. Grill for 3-4 minutes per side, turning occasionally, until the fruit is tender, lightly caramelized, and shows nice grill marks. During the last 2-3 minutes of grilling, brush the skewers generously with the prepared glaze.

Remove the skewers from the grill and serve immediately as a delicious side, dessert, or light snack.
