Peel and thinly slice the medium onion.

Drizzle some oil into a pot (a heart-shaped pot if you have one!).

Add the thinly sliced onions to the pot and sauté until softened, about 3-5 minutes.

Add the 16 ounces of thinly sliced beef chuck rolls to the pot with the onions. Stir to combine and brown the beef, about 5-7 minutes.

Pour 400 milliliters of water into the pot.

Cover the pot with a lid and bring the mixture to a boil.

Once boiling, add 4 cubes of S&B TASTY HAYASHI RICE Japanese Gravy Mix to the pot.

Stir the mixture continuously until the cubes dissolve completely and you achieve a good, thickened consistency.

Cover the pot again and let it simmer for another 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Serve the Hayashiraisu hot over freshly cooked white rice.
