In a small saucepan or kettle, bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil.

Remove the water from heat. Add the mint tea bags (or loose leaf tea in an infuser) to the hot water. Let steep for 5 minutes for a strong tea base. Remove tea bags or infuser.

While the tea is steeping, pour the milk into a separate saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until hot but not boiling. The milk should be steaming gently, around 160°F.

Remove the warm milk from heat. Stir in the honey (or maple syrup) and vanilla extract until fully dissolved. If desired, use a whisk or milk frother to create a light foam on top of the milk.

Divide the steeped mint tea evenly among 4 mugs. Pour the sweetened, warm milk over the tea in each mug.

Garnish each Soothing Mint Tea Latte with a fresh mint sprig, if using. Serve immediately and enjoy the comforting warmth.
