In a dry pan, add the whole milk powder. Dry roast the milk powder over low heat, stirring continuously, until it turns a golden brown color. Be very careful, as the powder can change color suddenly and burn quickly.

Transfer the roasted milk powder to a bowl and allow it to cool down completely to room temperature. This will prevent the other ingredients from melting prematurely.

Once the milk powder is cool, add the crushed plain biscuits, 2 tablespoons of cream, and 1/3 cup of condensed milk to the bowl. Begin mixing the ingredients together.

Continue mixing and kneading the ingredients until a medium-soft dough forms. If the dough is too dry, gradually add more condensed milk, up to 1/2 cup total, until the desired consistency is reached. The dough should be pliable and hold its shape.

Divide the prepared dough into three equal portions.

Take each portion of dough and roll it into a log shape, approximately 1 inch in diameter and 4-5 inches long.

Place the three dough logs on a plate or baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for 15 minutes to allow them to firm up slightly.

While the logs are chilling, melt the dark chocolate. This can be done in a microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, or over a double boiler until smooth.

Remove the chilled logs from the refrigerator. Using a pastry brush or a fork, brush the melted dark chocolate over the surface of each log. As you brush, create ridges and textures to mimic the appearance of firewood bark.

Return the chocolate-coated logs to the refrigerator and chill them until the chocolate is completely set and firm, about 15 minutes.

Once the chocolate is set, remove the logs from the refrigerator. Using a sharp knife, cut each log into small, bite-sized pieces, about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick.

Serve the Firewood Candy cold, alongside coffee or tea, for a delightful treat.
