In a medium bowl, combine the chicken pieces, yogurt, minced garlic, grated ginger, garam masala, turmeric powder, chili powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the chicken. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature, or up to 30 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.

Heat the unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned on all sides and mostly cooked through.

Stir in the crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly. Remove from heat and stir in the heavy cream. Set aside.

On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness and shape (approximately a 12-inch circle). Carefully transfer the dough to a pizza peel dusted with flour or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the edges of the pizza dough with olive oil. Spread the butter chicken mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese and thinly sliced red onion.

Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven (onto the pizza stone or baking sheet). Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.

Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh chopped cilantro. Slice and serve immediately.
