Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Thoroughly grease and flour a 9-inch (23cm) bundt pan to prevent sticking.

In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup (226g) of softened unsalted butter and 1 1/2 cups (300g) of granulated sugar. Beat them together until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Incorporate the 4 large eggs into the creamed mixture, adding them one at a time and mixing well after each addition until fully combined. Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Add 1/2 cup (120g) of sour cream to the wet ingredients and mix until smooth.

In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 1/4 cups (270g) of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredient mixture in the large bowl. Mix until the ingredients are just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Gently fold 1 1/2 cups of sliced strawberries into the batter until evenly distributed.

Pour the prepared batter into the greased and floured bundt pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 70 minutes. The cake is done when a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the bundt pan for 15 minutes before carefully inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.

While the cake is cooling, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together 1 cup (120g) of powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons (30ml) of milk or cream until the mixture is smooth and has a drizzling consistency.

Once the cake has cooled completely, drizzle the prepared glaze evenly over the top.

For a finishing touch, garnish the cake with fresh strawberries.
