In a large bowl, combine the self raising flour (or plain/all purpose flour with baking powder), Greek or soya yoghurt, cocoa powder, chocolate chips, and chopped dates or raisins. Mix everything together until it clumps into a dough.

Using your hands, squeeze the dough into four individual boule (round) shapes. The dough should not be sticky; if it is, add a little more flour until it's manageable.

Score the top of each bun with a knife and spread a tiny bit of extra yoghurt over the scored surface.

To air fry: Place the buns in an air fryer basket and cook at 180°C for 15 minutes. To oven bake: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Place the buns on a baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes.

Check if the buns are cooked through. If they are not cooked in the middle, turn them over and cook for a further 3-5 minutes, regardless of whether you are air frying or oven baking.
