Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil. While the water heats, cut the pork spare ribs into individual rib pieces, then chop each individual piece in half to create smaller portions.

Carefully add the cut pork ribs to the boiling water and parboil for 10 minutes to remove impurities. After 10 minutes, strain the ribs and rinse them thoroughly under cold running water, scrubbing away any scum or impurities.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, brown sugar, honey, and five spice powder. Whisk well to ensure all ingredients are fully incorporated and the sugar is dissolved.

Once the cooking cycle is complete, allow a natural pressure release for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, carefully perform a quick release for any remaining pressure.

Open the Instant Pot and carefully remove the cooked scallions. Turn on the 'Sauté' mode and allow the sauce to simmer, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to your desired consistency. This usually takes about 5-8 minutes.

Transfer the braised pork ribs to a serving dish. Pour the thickened sauce generously over the ribs. Garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
