Place the salmon fillet, skin-side down, on a cutting board.

Squeeze a generous amount of mayonnaise directly onto the top (flesh side) of the salmon fillet.

Using a spoon, spread the mayonnaise evenly across the entire top surface of the salmon, creating a thick, even layer.

Liberally sprinkle the reddish-orange spice mix over the mayonnaise layer.

Sprinkle dried green herbs over the spice mix.

Squeeze fresh lemon juice from half a lemon over the seasoned mayonnaise crust.

Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium-high heat.

Once the oil is hot, carefully place the salmon fillet into the pan, skin-side down.

Cook the salmon until the skin is crispy and the flesh is mostly cooked through, as observed by the color change moving up the fillet. This typically takes 5-7 minutes.

Flip the salmon fillet to cook on the mayonnaise-crusted side.

Add a small pat of butter to the pan.

Add a splash of soy sauce to the pan with the butter.

Continuously spoon the melted butter, soy sauce, and pan drippings over the cooking salmon to baste it. Cook for another 3-5 minutes until the mayonnaise crust is golden brown and crispy.

Once the mayonnaise crust is golden brown and crispy, remove the salmon from the pan.

Place the cooked salmon on a cutting board and slice it into portions before serving.
