Place the ground beef (or ground turkey) in a large, deep pan or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Season the meat with garlic powder, minced onion, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.

Cook the meat, breaking it apart with a spoon, until it is fully browned. Drain any excess fat.

To the browned meat, add the tomato paste, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well to combine.

Pour in the heavy cream and mix again until fully incorporated.

Add the uncooked elbow macaroni directly into the pan with the meat mixture.

Pour in the beef broth and add the remaining 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Stir everything together.

Increase the heat to high and bring the contents of the pan to a low boil.

Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low, cover the pan with a lid, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the noodles are soft and most of the liquid has been absorbed, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

Remove the lid and give the entire mixture a good stir.

Sprinkle the freshly shredded Colby Jack cheese evenly over the macaroni and meat.

Stir the cheese into the dish until it is fully melted and incorporated, creating a creamy sauce.

Serve the Homemade Hamburger Mac hot and enjoy your one-pan meal!
