Combine the sliced fresh strawberries, granulated sugar, and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved and the strawberries have softened, about 5 to 7 minutes.
Carefully pour the strawberry mixture through a fine-mesh sieve set over a bowl. Use the back of a spoon to press down on the solids, extracting as much liquid as possible. Discard the strawberry pulp. Set the berry syrup aside to cool slightly.
While the syrup cools, juice the fresh lemons. You should aim for approximately 1 cup of fresh lemon juice.
In a large pitcher, combine the cooled berry syrup and the fresh lemon juice. Add 2 to 3 cups of cold water, or more to achieve your desired sweetness and tartness level. Stir well to combine.
Fill four serving glasses with ice. Pour the Iced Berry Lemonade over the ice. Garnish each glass with a few fresh berries, a lemon slice, and a fresh mint sprig before serving immediately.
