In a small, oven-safe ramekin (approximately 4-inch diameter), combine the all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, and granulated sugar. Use a fork to thoroughly mix these dry ingredients together until well combined.

Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture in the ramekin. Using a mini whisk or a fork, mix all the ingredients until a smooth, dark brown batter is formed. Ensure there are no lumps.

Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the top of the batter in the ramekin. Gently push about half of the chocolate chips into the batter using a fork, leaving some on top for a molten center.

Carefully place the ramekin containing the batter into the basket of your air fryer. Set the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).

Air fry the cake for 7-8 minutes. The top should appear set with a slight crack, but the center should still be gooey and molten when gently pressed. Cooking time may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model.

Carefully remove the hot ramekin from the air fryer using oven mitts. Let it cool for 1-2 minutes before serving directly from the ramekin. The molten center will be very hot.
