Finely chop the fresh parsley. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped parsley, crushed garlic cloves, and chili flakes.

Pour the olive oil into the bowl with the other ingredients. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly with a spoon until well combined. Set aside.

Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the boiling water.

Add the pasta to the boiling salted water. Cook according to package directions until al dente. Before draining, reserve 1 cup of the pasta water.

Using tongs, transfer the cooked pasta directly from the pot into the mixing bowl containing the garlic, chili, parsley, and olive oil mixture. Do not drain the pasta completely, as some residual water will help the sauce.

Add the reserved 1 cup of hot pasta water to the bowl. Mix the pasta thoroughly with the sauce ingredients and pasta water until the pasta is well coated and a light sauce has formed.

Serve the pasta into individual bowls and top generously with grated Parmesan cheese. Enjoy immediately.
