Peel and thinly slice the onions. Mince or crush the garlic cloves.

In a large pan or skillet, melt the square of butter with the olive oil over medium heat. Once the butter is melted and the mixture is hot, add the sliced onions.

Add the spices (paprika, oregano, turmeric, salt, black pepper, and chili powder) directly to the onions in the pan. Be careful with the chili powder, as it can make the dish very spicy.

Mix the onions and spices well. Sauté the onions until softened, golden, and well coated with spices, about 8 to 10 minutes.

While the onions are cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente.

Stir the finely chopped fresh parsley into the onion mixture in the pan.

Pour the cream (vegetable or regular) into the pan with the onions and parsley. Mix thoroughly until a creamy and homogeneous sauce is formed. If the sauce is too thick, add a little water (about 1/4 cup) to thin it to the desired consistency.

Once the pasta is cooked, drain it. Serve the pasta in individual bowls and generously top each portion with the creamy onion sauce.

Mix the sauce and pasta in the bowls before serving.
