Unwrap enough Klondike ice cream sandwiches to form a single layer in the bottom of your rectangular baking dish. Arrange them snugly, cutting some sandwiches as needed to fit and cover the entire bottom surface.

Spread a generous layer of whipped topping evenly over the arranged ice cream sandwiches.
Drizzle chocolate syrup generously over the whipped topping layer.

Place another layer of unwrapped Klondike ice cream sandwiches over the chocolate syrup, again cutting to fit the entire surface of the dish.

Spread a second generous layer of whipped topping evenly over the second layer of ice cream sandwiches.

Drizzle more chocolate syrup generously over this second whipped topping layer.

Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies (using a food processor or by placing them in a sealed bag and crushing with a rolling pin). Sprinkle the crushed cookies generously over the top chocolate syrup layer.

Place the assembled ice cream cake in the freezer for at least 3 hours, or until firm, allowing all the layers to set completely.

Once firm, remove from the freezer, slice into desired portions, and serve immediately.
