In a large mixing bowl, combine the contents of the vanilla or white cake mix, all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, and baking powder. Whisk to combine.

Add the melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix with a hand mixer until a smooth dough forms. Fold in the 1/2 cup of sprinkles.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough hydrate at room temperature for at least 15 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Scoop 2 tablespoon portions of dough and roll them into balls. Place the dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them. This recipe yields 12 cookies.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool completely on the baking sheet.

Once the cookies are completely cool, spread a layer of vanilla frosting on top of each cookie using a knife or small spatula.

Generously top each frosted cookie with Lucky Charms marshmallows. Optionally, add additional sprinkles or holiday sprinkles for extra decoration.
