Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil generously onto the bottom of a large baking dish (approximately 9x13 inches).

Spread 1 1/2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the olive oil at the bottom of the baking dish.

Sprinkle 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese over the mozzarella layer.

Add 1 1/2 cups of marinara sauce on top of the Parmesan cheese, spreading it evenly.

Spread the cooked and drained ground beef evenly over the marinara sauce layer.

Add another 1 cup of marinara sauce over the ground beef, spreading it to cover.

Place 3 uncooked lasagna noodles on top of the marinara sauce. Break the noodles as needed to fit the pan and cover the entire surface without overlapping too much.

In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Spoon and spread the ricotta mixture evenly over the first layer of uncooked lasagna noodles.

Place another 3 uncooked lasagna noodles on top of the ricotta mixture, breaking them to fit the pan.

Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce over the second layer of noodles.

Add the remaining 1 1/2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the marinara sauce.

Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese over the mozzarella.

Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

Remove the aluminum foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.

Remove the lasagna from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes. This allows the layers to set and makes flipping easier.

Carefully place a large serving platter upside down over the baking dish. Holding both the dish and platter firmly together, quickly and confidently flip the lasagna onto the platter.

Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before slicing and serving.
