Divide the Nutella evenly among four individual saucepans or heatproof mugs. Add 1 cup of hot milk to each saucepan/mug with the Nutella.

Using a handheld milk frother, thoroughly mix the Nutella and hot milk in each saucepan/mug until well combined and slightly frothy. Set aside.

In four separate white mugs, add 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar and 2 tablespoons of instant coffee to each.

Add 2 tablespoons of hot water to each mug containing the sugar and instant coffee.

Using the handheld milk frother, vigorously whisk the sugar, instant coffee, and hot water in each mug until the mixture becomes thick, light brown, frothy, and creamy. This will take a few minutes per mug.

Carefully pour the Nutella milk mixture from each saucepan/mug into the respective mug with the fluffy coffee mixture. The fluffy coffee will rise to the top, creating distinct layers. Serve immediately.
