Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the all-purpose flour and whisk constantly for 1 minute to create a roux.

Gradually whisk in the chicken broth until smooth. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally, until the gravy thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
