Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Add the chopped onion, garlic, ginger, and green chili to the hot oil. Sauté for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the aromatics are fragrant and the onion begins to soften.

While the chicken cooks, in a small bowl, whisk together the chili sauce and soy sauce.
