Pat the chuck roast dry with paper towels. Score the roast deeply on both sides with a knife.

In a bowl, combine the all purpose seasoning, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper. Generously season the scored chuck roast with this spice blend, ensuring the seasoning gets deep into the cuts.

Pour the browning, soy sauce, Scotch Bonnet pepper sauce, Grace Jerk BBQ sauce, 1/2 cup water, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar over the seasoned roast.

Thoroughly massage all the seasonings and sauces into the meat. Cover the roast and refrigerate overnight to marinate.

The next day, preheat your oven to 350°F. In a hot, oven-safe pot, sear the marinated chuck roast on all sides until well browned.

Add the sliced onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and sprigs of thyme around the roast in the pot. Pour the beef broth into the pot.

Cover the pot and bake in the preheated oven for 2 hours.

While the roast is baking, rinse the basmati rice thoroughly until the water runs clear.

In a separate pot, add 4 cups of water, butter, and 1 teaspoon salt. Bring the water to a boil. Add the rinsed basmati rice to the boiling water. Cover the pot, reduce the heat to low, and cook for 20 minutes.

After 2 hours, carefully remove the roast from the oven. It should be tender and easily shredded.

Using two forks, shred the tender jerk roast directly in the pot with the vegetables and juices.

Serve the shredded jerk roast over the freshly cooked basmati rice.
