Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large glass mixing bowl, combine the 100 grams of softened butter, 1/4 cup white sugar, and 1/2 cup brown sugar.

Mix these ingredients together until they are well combined and have a sandy, crumbly texture.

Crack 1 egg into the mixture and add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

Using an electric hand mixer, mix the wet ingredients until they are thoroughly combined and the mixture becomes light and creamy.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup cornstarch, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon baking powder.

Using a spatula, gently mix the ingredients until a cohesive cookie dough forms. Be careful not to overmix.

Add a generous amount of chocolate chips (about 1 1/2 cups), including both dark and milk chocolate chunks/chips, to the dough.

Fold the chocolate chips into the dough using the spatula until evenly distributed.

Using a cookie scoop or your hands (wearing gloves if preferred), scoop out portions of the cookie dough and form each into a round ball. Place the formed cookie dough balls into a glass baking dish. Arrange about 6 balls in a dish for optimal baking.

Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are still soft and gooey.

Once baked, serve the cookies warm directly from the baking dish. Use a scoop to portion out the soft, molten cookie into individual serving bowls.

Optionally, add one or two scoops of vanilla ice cream on top of the warm cookie.

Optionally, pour a creamy sauce (such as condensed milk or custard) over the cookie and ice cream. Mix and enjoy the warm, soft-baked cookie dessert.
