Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Slice the French bread loaf in half lengthwise, then cut each half into 4-inch pieces. You should have about 4-6 pieces depending on the loaf size.

In a small bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon black pepper. Mix well until thoroughly combined.

Generously spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the French bread pieces. Place the bread butter-side up on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake the garlic bread in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the butter is bubbly. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.

While the bread is baking, prepare the avocado spread. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl. Mash with a fork until mostly smooth but still a little chunky.

Add the lime juice, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes to the mashed avocado. Stir well to combine.

Once the garlic bread is out of the oven, allow it to cool slightly for a minute or two. Spread a generous amount of the avocado mixture over each piece of warm garlic bread. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
