Place 1 kg of pork ribs in a bowl. Season with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Rub the seasoning thoroughly into the ribs.

Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a pan. Add chopped garlic (1 head), ginger (30g), and onion (1 pc). Sauté until fragrant.

Add the seasoned pork ribs to the pan with the sautéed aromatics. Sear the ribs until they are browned on all sides.

Pour in 1/2 cup of soy sauce, 1/4 cup of oyster sauce, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, and 1 cup of water. Stir to combine all ingredients.

Cover the pan and simmer for 45 minutes or until the ribs are tender.

Uncover the pan and add 1 teaspoon of chili flakes. Stir to incorporate.

Once cooked, plate the pork ribs and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve and enjoy.
