Carefully slice the ripe tomatoes into 1/4-inch thick rounds. If using larger tomatoes, you may cut them into half-moon shapes. Arrange the tomato slices on a large serving platter, slightly overlapping them or alternating with mozzarella.

Slice the fresh mozzarella into 1/4-inch thick rounds. Arrange the mozzarella slices on the platter alongside or in between the tomato slices.
