Shake the air fryer basket halfway through the cooking time (around 7-10 minutes) to ensure even crisping on all sides.

While the tofu is cooking, prepare the sauce by combining 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, 1 tablespoon of rice wine vinegar, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of grated or minced ginger, and 1 teaspoon of minced garlic in a separate small bowl.

Mix the sauce ingredients well until the sugar is dissolved and all components are thoroughly combined.

Once the tofu is crispy and golden brown, carefully remove it from the air fryer.

Serve the crispy tofu on a plate or in a serving bowl.

Pour the prepared sauce generously over the crispy tofu.
