Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

In a large bowl, combine the broccoli florets with avocado oil, garlic powder, onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Toss until the broccoli is evenly coated.

Spread the seasoned broccoli in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until tender-crisp and slightly charred at the edges. Stir halfway through cooking for even roasting.

While the broccoli roasts, prepare the avocado mash. In a medium bowl, combine the scooped avocados, fresh lime juice, chopped cilantro, minced jalapeño (if using), 1/4 teaspoon sea salt, and 1/8 teaspoon black pepper. Mash with a fork until desired consistency is reached (chunky or smooth).

Once the roasted broccoli is done, remove it from the oven. Add the hot roasted broccoli to the bowl with the avocado mash. Gently fold or mash together until well combined, leaving some texture from the broccoli.

Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Serve immediately, garnished with red pepper flakes and extra fresh cilantro, if desired.
