Add 2 tablespoons of Nutella into a frying pan.

Crack 1 egg directly into the pan with the Nutella.

Pour 100ml of coffee into the pan.

Add 3 tablespoons of flour to the pan.

Using a spatula, mix all the ingredients in the pan until a smooth, uniform chocolate batter is formed.

Cover the pan with a lid and cook over medium-low heat until the cake base is cooked and has a bubbly surface. This usually takes about 5-7 minutes.

Remove the lid from the pan.

Using an ice cream scoop or a spoon, place several dollops of additional Nutella on top of the cooked cake base.

Spread the Nutella evenly across the surface of the cake using a spoon.

Sprinkle chocolate chips generously over the Nutella layer.

Cover the pan with the lid again and cook for another 2-3 minutes to allow the topping to warm and slightly melt/set.

Once the cake is ready, remove from heat. Using a knife, carefully cut it into 8 equal slices directly in the pan.

Serve a slice of the chocolate cake on a plate.
