Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Take one crab stick and place it on a clean, flat surface. Using a rolling pin, firmly press down on the crab stick to flatten it out evenly. It should become noticeably thinner and wider.

Once flattened, carefully twist the crab stick to create an appealing spiral shape. The flattened crab stick should be pliable enough to twist without breaking.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 for all remaining crab sticks. Arrange the twisted crab sticks in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not overlapping.

Using a pastry brush, evenly brush a thin layer of maple syrup over each twisted crab stick.

Generously sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the maple syrup-coated crab sticks.

Place the baking sheet into the preheated oven. Roast for 10-15 minutes, or until the crab sticks turn golden brown and achieve a crispy texture. Keep a close eye on them to prevent burning, as cooking times may vary.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving. They will crisp up further as they cool. Serve as a light, crunchy snack.
