Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil. Add the dry egg noodles and cook for 10 minutes, or according to package directions, until al dente.

While the noodles are cooking, prepare the sauce. In a large bowl, combine the peanut butter, gochujang, chili oil, soy sauce, and sesame oil.

Once the noodles are cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of the noodle cooking water. Drain the remaining water from the noodles.

Add the reserved 1/2 cup of noodle water to the bowl with the sauce ingredients. Whisk or stir vigorously until the sauce is smooth and well combined.

Add the drained, cooked noodles to the bowl with the prepared sauce. Toss thoroughly until the noodles are evenly coated with the spicy peanut sauce.

Garnish the noodles with sesame seeds and chopped nuts (such as cashews) as desired. Give them one final toss to distribute the toppings.

Serve immediately and enjoy your spicy peanut noodles!
