In a medium bowl, season the chicken strips with paprika powder, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Toss to ensure all strips are evenly coated.

In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour. Gradually whisk in the water, adding a little at a time, until you achieve a smooth, thick batter that coats the back of a spoon.

Dip each seasoned chicken strip into the prepared batter, ensuring it is fully coated. Allow any excess batter to drip off.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or deep pot over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Carefully place the battered chicken strips into the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan. Fry for 3-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Remove the chicken with a slotted spoon and place on a wire rack lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

While the chicken is frying, prepare the sauce. In a small bowl, combine the hot sauce and mayonnaise. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

Lay a large tortilla wrap flat on a clean surface. Spread about 2 tablespoons of the prepared sauce evenly over the entire surface of the tortilla.

Along one side of the tortilla, place about 1/2 cup of shredded lettuce. Top the lettuce with a few slices of cheese, then arrange a portion of the crispy fried chicken strips on top of the cheese.

Fold the sides of the tortilla inwards over the filling. Starting from the bottom, tightly roll the tortilla upwards to form a compact wrap.

Heat a grill pan (or a regular skillet) over medium heat. Place the assembled wrap onto the hot pan, seam-side down. Grill for 2-3 minutes per side, or until it has visible grill marks and is lightly toasted and warmed through.

Once grilled, remove the wrap from the pan and cut it in half diagonally before serving immediately.
