Slice the pork belly into approximately 0.5cm thick pieces.

Place the sliced pork belly into the pot of a rice cooker.

Add the spring onion, ginger slices, and garlic cloves to the rice cooker pot with the pork belly.

Pour in the salted bean sauce (tauchu), light soy sauce, oyster sauce, and dark soy sauce into the pot.

Add the rock sugar, ground white pepper (to your taste), and five-spice powder to the pot.

Add enough water to the pot to just cover the pork belly.

Close the rice cooker and set it to cook for 45 minutes.

After 45 minutes, carefully open the rice cooker.

Add the green chillies (screw peppers) and hard-boiled eggs into the pot with the pork belly.

Close the rice cooker again and cook for an additional 10 minutes.

Once done, serve the tender, savoury pork belly and eggs, ideally with a bowl of steaming warm rice.
