Preheat your oven to 400°F. Lightly grease a 9-inch deep-dish pizza pan or a 9-inch cast iron skillet.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a circle large enough to cover the bottom and extend up the sides of your prepared deep-dish pan, about 12-13 inches in diameter. Carefully transfer the dough to the pan, pressing it firmly into the bottom and up the sides. Trim any excess dough if necessary, leaving a slight overhang.

Sprinkle 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the bottom of the pizza dough.

Evenly distribute the cooked and drained ground beef over the mozzarella cheese layer. Arrange the pepperoni slices over the ground beef.

Pour the pizza sauce over the meat and cheese layers, spreading it out to the edges of the crust.

Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, the grated Parmesan cheese, and the Italian seasoning over the pizza sauce.

Bake for 25-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned. If the crust edges are browning too quickly, you can loosely tent the pizza with aluminum foil for the last 10-15 minutes of baking.

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving. This allows the cheese to set and prevents all the toppings from sliding off.
