Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.

Add the diced yellow onion to the skillet with the ground beef and cook until the onion softens, about 3-5 minutes.

Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the crumbled bacon, diced dill pickles, ketchup, yellow mustard, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined. Set the meat mixture aside.

Unroll the refrigerated pizza crust onto the prepared baking sheet. Gently stretch the dough into a rectangular shape, approximately 9 by 15 inches.

Spoon the prepared meat mixture down the middle of the stretched pizza dough, leaving about 3 inches of dough free on both long sides.

Place the slices of American cheese over the meat mixture. Sprinkle 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the American cheese.

Using kitchen shears or a knife, cut 2-inch wide strips into the dough on both sides of the filling, spaced about 1 inch apart. Start from one end and work your way down.

Starting from one end, take a strip from one side and cross it over the filling to meet a strip from the opposite side. Continue this criss-cross pattern, overlapping the strips to seal the filling and form a loaf.

Brush the top of the assembled loaf with the beaten egg. Sprinkle the sesame seeds and the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the egg-washed dough.

Bake for 30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.

Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm with burger sauce for dipping.
