Heat 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook the eggs one at a time, folding each into a small, thick omelet shape. Set aside.

Lay a large piece of plastic wrap (about 12x12 inches) on a clean work surface. Place one large nori sheet diagonally in the center of the plastic wrap.

Place about 1/2 cup of warm cooked short-grain rice in a square shape in the center of the nori sheet, leaving space around the edges.

Place one cooked egg omelet on top of the rice.

Add two slices of ham on top of the egg.

Place one slice of cheese on top of the ham.

Arrange about 1 cup of lettuce leaves on top of the cheese.

Add another 1/2 cup of warm cooked short-grain rice on top of the lettuce, forming a square.

Carefully fold the bottom corner of the nori sheet over the ingredients, towards the center.

Fold the top corner of the nori sheet over the ingredients, meeting the previous fold.

Fold the left side of the nori sheet over the ingredients, tucking it in tightly.

Fold the right side of the nori sheet over the ingredients, completing the wrap. Ensure all ingredients are enclosed.

Tightly wrap the entire assembled package in the plastic wrap, ensuring it holds its square shape. Let it rest for 2-3 minutes to allow the nori to soften and seal.

Using a sharp knife, cut the wrapped rice sandwich diagonally in half through the plastic wrap. This helps keep it together and makes for a beautiful presentation.

Repeat steps 2-14 for the remaining ingredients to make three more Onigirazu. Serve immediately or pack for lunch.
