Pour 2 cups of heavy cream into a large mixing bowl.

Using an electric mixer, whip the heavy cream on high speed until it forms stiff peaks. This should take about 3-5 minutes.

Add 1 can of condensed milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the whipped cream.

Gently fold the condensed milk and vanilla extract into the whipped cream using a spatula until the ingredients are just combined. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream.

If you want to make chocolate ice cream, add your desired amount of cocoa powder to the mixture at this stage and gently fold it in until no streaks remain.

Transfer the prepared ice cream mixture into a freezer-safe container. Ensure the container has a lid or can be tightly sealed.

Place the container in the freezer and freeze for at least 6 hours, or until the ice cream is solid and firm.

Once frozen, scoop and serve the homemade ice cream immediately.
