Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease a baking pan of your choice.

Thoroughly wash the large orange. Cut it into pieces, including the peel, and remove any seeds.

In a blender or food processor, combine the orange pieces and granulated sugar. Blend until the mixture is well combined and the orange peel is finely processed.

Add the large eggs and oil to the orange mixture in the blender. Blend again until all ingredients are fully incorporated and smooth.

Add the self-rising flour (or your chosen flour mixture with baking powder) to the wet ingredients. Blend once more until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

Once the cake is out of the oven, let it rest for a few minutes in the pan. While it's still warm, pour the fresh orange juice (from the sauce section) evenly over the top of the cake.

Serve the cake warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
