Prepare the bruschetta topping: In a medium bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped fresh basil, minced garlic, 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, balsamic glaze, salt, and black pepper. Stir gently to combine. Set aside to allow the flavors to meld while you prepare the crostini.

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the crostini: Arrange the baguette slices in a single layer on a baking sheet. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil.

Bake the baguette slices for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden and crisp. Keep a close eye on them to prevent burning.

Once the crostini are out of the oven, immediately rub one side of each toasted slice with the cut side of the halved garlic clove. This will infuse a subtle garlic flavor.

To serve, spoon a generous amount of the tomato mixture onto each garlic-rubbed crostini. Arrange on a platter and serve immediately.
